All we need is Real Connections
As Zuckerberg spins it, Meta no longer perceives much advantage in dominating the so-called personal social networking market where Facebook made its name and cemented what the FTC alleged is an illegal monopoly. – via arstechnica
All social media is, like modern TV, radio, billboards or 99% of most media, … all social media is just a process to grab your attention for the maximum amount of minutes of your 1440 daily allotment. All social media wants is your dedicated attention. They are in the business of making money from the interactions you provide them. TV wants a passive attention. The Internet wants you to click, swipe and keep looking at a 6inch screen. That’s all their is to it. They feed you with stuff that your brain is addicted to and you stay, stay, stay… Reality is that screen. You don’t know if the day is sunny or cloudy, the forest is green or your neighbor is dead or alive. Only those 6in of real estate matter.
You are only given 1440 minutes each day. Think about how to use them wisely.
